If Yahoo has discontinued Anti-spy--light years faster than its competitors--have they sold out to trackers?

If so, SHAME on Yahoo for making the single worst decision enabling & facilitating those always annoying tracking cookies--not to mention the paralyzing spyware whose criminal creators are surely celebrating! Shouldn't Yahoo be compelled to get out of the trackers' pockets & bring back Anti-spy?

CA Yahoo! Anti-Spy was a VERY light-weight anti-spyware app (by light-weight I mean it didn't really do much in the way of real anti-spyware protection). It provided NO real-time (proactive) protection while surfing - it would only attempt to clean up a problem AFTER your machine had been compromised. There are several FREE anti-spyware apps that do a far better job - one being Windows Defender that comes already installed in most (if not all) new Windows 7 PCs.

CA Yahoo! Anti-Spy was faster than its "competitors" because it did very little to actually protect a PC from spyware.

All that the Yahoo! Anti-Spy app did was give unsophisticated users a false sense of security. I don't see any reason to cry about its demise or demand its return. In the end, I think Yahoo! did the community a favor by eliminating this app.
